Designing for Process Excellence

We have developed a specific approach to define an 'enterprise supply chain process strategy' for networks of manufacturing, distribution and/or service centers.
In order to obtain economies of scale or to penetrate new markets, companies have acquired or have merged with other companies into large clusters. However, these new clusters require an aligned enterprise process organization: should a central forecasting facility be installed? decentralized order processing? central purchasing? what level of information visibility is needed on the network? what is the local degree of freedom?
